Are you posting often enough on social media? This is key to maintaining and growing your social media visibility.
There's no perfect number of posts to put out each week. Studies give you an answer that ranges from about 3 to all the way up to 11 or 12 times. We recommend 3-6 posts per platform per week with our social media packages. Here’s how you can decide what’s best for you.
If you want to build a social media following - you need to be posting often. Your posts need to be spread as evenly as possible throughout the week. Don’t worry about spamming your audience. If they’re put off by your content, they’re not your ideal target audience.

There are busier periods on social media throughout the year.  You can post as much as you like on social media. The only caveat to this is that your content needs to be engaging, targeted and relevant.

We also find that the best number of posts changes depending on the platform. Twitter, for example, is bombarded with about 6,000 tweets every second. Posting 3 times a week will limit your visibility. Yet posts on Instagram stay more visible for longer - so there’s not the same necessity to post as often.

But what should I post?

Balance is also key to deciding how many times a week to post. Twitter is a prime example of this. Remember to retweet others but use your own content too.  Your content is always building an image for that platform. People will look at your profiles but they’ll only hit the follow button if it’s clear what you do. They also need to know what they'll gain from following you.
